5. Cookies and third-party services

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses only a few, and the services below may process technical data such as your IP address when they load.

Necessary and functional

WordPress and our plugins may set cookies that are needed for security, forms and basic site operation. If you tick the checkbox when commenting, WordPress stores your name, email and website in cookies so you do not need to retype them.

Language translation

The language switcher (GTranslate) can translate the site and may remember your chosen language. Translations are provided through an online translation service, which receives the page text it translates.

Fonts, maps and chat

  • Google Fonts: our typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
  • Google Maps: the Contact page embeds a Google map. Google may set cookies and collect usage data when it loads.
  • WhatsApp: the chat button and WhatsApp links open WhatsApp, whose own privacy policy applies to your messages.
  • Social media: links to our Facebook and X pages are ordinary links. The platforms only receive data once you open them.

At the time of writing, this website does not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less smoothly.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when needed and only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the website and our business, such as web hosting, email delivery, security and translation providers.
  • Professional advisers, for example accountants or legal advisers, where necessary.
  • Authorities, courts or regulators when the law requires it.
  • Subcontractors or suppliers involved in your project, but only with the details they need to do their work.

7. International transfers

Some of the providers mentioned above, such as Google or WhatsApp, may process data outside the UAE. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data remains protected in line with applicable law.

8. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, including any project, warranty or maintenance relationship, and for as long as accounting, tax and other legal requirements oblige us to. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted or anonymised. Spam-protection counters expire automatically as described above.

9. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including secure connections, access controls, spam and abuse protection and limited internal access. No online service can be completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information through forms or email.

10. Your rights

  • confirm whether we hold your personal data and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete your data or restrict how we use it;
  • stop using your data for a purpose you object to;
  • withdraw consent you have given, without affecting earlier processing.

To make a request, email info@waterwonders-me.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time and as the law requires. If you are unhappy with our response, you may contact the relevant data protection authority.
